The 18th Annual Chef’s Gala is Central Florida’s premier fine dining and wine pairing charity event, benefiting Heart of Florida United Way. Held at Epcot® World Showplace, this unique dining experience features mouth-watering cuisine from more than 20 of Central Florida’s top chefs and establishments, thoughtfully paired wines, live music and a dazzling silent auction.
Chef’s Gala annually attracts more than 1,000 guests. With WALT DISNEY WORLD® as the event’s 18-year host and sponsor, guests are assured an unparalleled food and wine experience.
Last year’s event raised more than $170,000 to help thousands of local children, families and seniors who are struggling to survive the economic downturn.
“United Way provides support to one-in-five Central Floridians, many of whom have always played by the rules,” said Chef’s Gala Co-Chair Sandy Hostetter, President of CNLBank. “But this economy has rocked even the most stable lives and the challenges continue. That’s why the success of Chef’s Gala is critical.”
“Proceeds from Chef’s Gala go to support agencies that are working to alleviate hunger and homelessness,” added Co-Chair Peter Kacheris, Managing Director, Waldorf Astoria Orlando. ”With the help of Disney, the chefs and many other generous donors, 95% of all money raised goes directly to help those in need.”
